Wanda Jackson (born October 20, 1937, Maud, Oklahoma, U.S.) is an American country singer who also achieved substantial success in rock and roll and earned the sobriquet “the Queen of Rockabilly.” Jackson began singing on a daily Oklahoma City radio show in 1952, when she was still in high school.
