Corowa, town, New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the Murray River. Immediately opposite Corowa, across the Murray, in Victoria, is the twin town of Wahgunyah.

Corowa was established in 1858. The Corowa Conference in 1893 marked an important point in the movement for federation of the Australian colonies. Situated in a section of the Riverina that produces wool, wheat, cattle, and fruits, Corowa has flour mills, timber mills, malt and stock-feed processing plants, and wineries. The town lies just off the Murray Valley and Riverina highways and has air and rail connections with Sydney (about 310 miles [500 km] northeast) and Melbourne (about 150 miles [240 km] south-southwest). Corowa was proclaimed a town in 1885; it became a shire in 1955 and a municipality in 1963. Pop. (2006) urban centre, 5,628; (2011) urban centre, 5,450.
