Mount Kātrīnā, peak in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt. The country’s highest point, Mount Kātrīnā reaches 8,668 feet (2,642 metres). A chapel and a meteorological station are located at the summit. Mount Sinai, site of Saint Catherine’s Monastery, is situated 2 miles (3 km) north.
