Sānghar, town, Sindh province, southern Pakistan. The town is connected by road with the cities of Hyderābād, Karāchi, and Sukkur. Sānghar is a market town and has several cotton-textile factories. The surrounding area consists chiefly of semiarid land, a part of the great Thar Desert, and some cropped areas irrigated by the Mithrao Canal system, which feeds from the Indus River. Rice, wheat, and cotton are the chief crops grown in the locality. Pop. (1998 prelim.) 50,259.
