Veraval, city and port, south-central Gujarat state, west-central India. It lies on the Arabian Sea coast of the southern Kathiawar Peninsula.

Veraval’s fishing port, one of the country’s largest, also handles timber and agricultural products. Matches, textile bobbins, and bone fertilizer are manufactured in the city. It is a railway terminus and lies on a major highway. The city has been affected by tropical cyclones that originate in the Arabian Sea. The ruins of the ancient city and Hindu temple of Somnath are nearby. Pop. (2001) 141,357; (2011) 154,636.
