Tom Brady, in full Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr., (born Aug. 3, 1977, San Mateo, Calif., U.S.), U.S. football quarterback. He played football at the University of Michigan and was a sixth-round draft choice of the New England Patriots in 2000. He came off the bench during his second season and led the Patriots to a surprising Super Bowl win in 2002. He won five more Super Bowl titles with New England (2004, 2005, 2015, 2017, and 2019) and guided the team to a perfect 16–0 regular-season record in 2007. After signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, Brady won his record seventh Super Bowl (2021). He was named the game’s Most Valuable Player five times (2002, 2004, 2015, 2017, and 2021). Brady announced his retirement in early 2022 but returned to the Buccaneers to play the 2022 season. In Feb. 2023 he again said he would retire. He finished his career with NFL records for pass completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns.
