Abrāj al-Bayt, multitowered skyscraper complex adjacent to the Great Mosque of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Completed in 2012, it is the world’s fourth tallest building (as of 2024). The central clock tower (including its spire) rises to a height of 1,972 feet (601 meters). The Abrāj al-Bayt complex has approximately 16 million square feet (1.5 million square meters) of floor space. The complex houses hotels, shopping centers, residential apartments, and a prayer area capable of accommodating thousands of worshipers.
