Boise State University, public, coeducational institution of higher learning in Boise, Idaho, U.S. The university comprises nine colleges and offers more than 200 bachelor’s degree and master’s degree programs, and more than a dozen doctoral degree programs. The university also offers more than 100 online degree programs. Important research facilities include the Biomedical Research Institute and the Raptor Research Center. Total enrollment is more than 26,000. The university was founded as a junior college by the Episcopal church in 1932.
