The Rebel Angels, novel of ideas by Robertson Davies, published in 1981. The novel was the first in a trilogy that included What’s Bred in the Bone (1985) and The Lyre of Orpheus (1988). The novel, set in a prominent Canadian university, examines the dual themes of the distinction between knowledge and wisdom and the role of the university in contemporary society.
