Ceraurus, genus of trilobites (extinct arthropods) found as fossils in rocks of Ordovician period (505 to 438 million years ago) in Europe and North America. Ceraurus is easily recognized by its unusual shape; two large spines occur at the end of the tail and at the margins of the head shield.
